Human-Robotics Interactions is a new era UX?

We've spent the last two decades designing how people interact with screens.

The next frontier of UX may be designing how people interact with robots.

For years, product designers have optimised digital experiences, web apps, mobile apps, enterprise software, and AI assistants.

We studied users. We optimised clicks, taps, navigation, and workflows.

But what happens when the interface is no longer a screen?

What happens when it's a humanoid robot working alongside a human?

That question has been on my mind for the past year.

It started while helping a friend, a Silicon Valley Legend of Crisis management asked to shape a book about the future of technology. The deeper I went into robotics, AI, automation, humanoids and manufacturing, politics, demographical crosses, the clearer one trend became.

The world is aging. Labor shortages are growing. AI is rapidly improving. And capital is pouring into robotics.

- Goldman Sachs estimates the humanoid robot market could reach $38B by 2035.

- Morgan Stanley report claims the broader humanoid robotics ecosystem could exceed $5T by 2050, with over 1 billion humanoid robots eventually deployed.

- China is already leading adoption, with domestic companies expected to account for the vast majority of global humanoid deployments over the coming years.

Whether these forecasts are exactly right isn't the point.

The direction is.

If robots become part of everyday work, designing Human-Robot Interaction and fleet management, may become one of the defining product challenges of our generation.

That goes far beyond the robot itself.

It includes trust.

Safety.

Operator experiences.

Fleet management.

Digital twins.

Human-Robot Interaction.

As a product designer, I find that incredibly exciting!

That's why I'm diving deeper into robotics UX, HRI, Fleet System management, and Physical AI.

I don't have all the answers.

I'm learning.

But one thing is clear to me:

I don't just want to watch this industry evolve. I want to be among the people shaping the future of robotics and defining how humans interact with intelligent machines.
